What Affects the Cost of a Backdrop Rental
The most common question we get is what a backdrop costs, and the honest answer is that it depends on a handful of things. Here's what actually moves the number, so you know what you're looking at before you ask.
Which piece you choose
A full 8-foot flower wall is a different build than a set of Boxwood Minis or a cloth photo backdrop. Denser florals, larger panels and premium blooms cost more than clean greenery. Our collection runs from simple to statement, and there's usually a version of the look you want at more than one level.
Full service or pickup
Most of our large backdrops are full service — we deliver, set up, decorate and come back at the end of the night to tear down. That's a crew and a truck, and it's built into the price. A few smaller items can be picked up from our Lake Elmo shop instead, which costs less because you're handling the transport and setup.
Where your venue is
Delivery is priced by the drive. A venue in the Twin Cities metro is straightforward. Greater Minnesota, western Wisconsin or Southwest Florida is priced on the round trip. Tell us the venue and the city and we'll give you a real number rather than a guess.
Your date
Peak season books up. Saturdays in May and June — graduation season — and prime wedding dates are the most requested, and the pieces people want most go first. Booking earlier gets you a better selection, not just a better chance.
How long we're on site
A same-day setup and teardown is our standard. Multi-day events, early load-ins required by your venue, or a late-night teardown after the room clears all change what the job takes.
What you add to it
A backdrop on its own is one number. A backdrop with one of our neon signs mounted on it and a balloon garland framing it is a different one. The three-piece setup is what we build most, and it's worth asking about as a package rather than piece by piece.
